About

Patti Stueckler

The daughter of an Air Force Two pilot who served in Vietnam, Patti comes from a family built on service. She and her husband, John - a Marine Corps veteran - moved to North Beach when they married in 1987.

Together they raised two children who graduated from Huntingtown High School and now enjoy life as grandparents to eight grandchildren, all living right here in Calvert County. Patti is from a large family, so she also has siblings, nieces, nephews and her 91-year-old mother who call Calvert County their home.

Nestled between the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River, Calvert is a special place where families hunt and fish, kids grow up in “kid country,” and neighbors still know one another. Patti is running to protect that way of life.

“Calvert County is special - and the decisions we make now will shape its future for generations.”

In Her Own Words

Why I'm Running

I'm a Republican running for Calvert County Commissioner, At-Large because I love Calvert County - and I believe we are at an important moment in its future.

Helping families as a Calvert County Realtor for over 24 years, I know that people choose to live here because of the charm and character that only Calvert County offers. Surrounded by the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River, we have strong communities, and a quality of life that is becoming harder to find. But many residents feel the pressure of rising property taxes, electric bills, increased traffic from uncontrolled growth - and decisions being made without enough transparency and public input.

I believe we can protect what makes Calvert special while planning responsibly for the future - with transparent government, smart budgeting, and leadership that listens. We have big decisions ahead, including whether residents want a data center here, or not. It's critical that our leaders listen to the residents, whether they are for it or against it. But let the voters decide.

I'm running to preserve the unique character of the county we all love and to protect the people who call it home.

Where She Stands

Patti on the Issues

Responsible, Measured Growth

Responsible, Measured Growth

High-density development without proper infrastructure increases traffic congestion, strains schools and services, and expands county spending - often leading to higher property taxes.

Just as importantly, unchecked development changes the rural charm and quality of life that residents value. Patti supports growth that is thoughtful, measured, and aligned with preserving the county's more rural character.

I will put people before projects.

Transparent Government

Transparent Government

Patti believes residents deserve openness - not backroom deals. She opposes commissioners signing NDAs on projects that significantly impact the community.

Whether it's data centers or large-scale development, decisions should never be made behind closed doors. Residents should be informed and involved before decisions are finalized - not after.

No NDAs. No Backroom Deals. Full Transparency.

Protecting Your Wallet

Protecting Your Wallet

As a business owner, Patti understands budgets and tough decisions. She believes county government should operate the same way - responsibly, transparently, and with taxpayers in mind.

  • Lowering high property taxes through fiscal responsibility
  • Prioritizing needs over wants in county spending
  • Clear explanations and public input before taxes increase
  • Full transparency in how every dollar is spent

Spending money isn't the only job of our officials. When I am elected I will protect your wallet first. Spend last.

Calvert County community

Our children deserve a county that protects their future.
